The Service allows users to access and manage benefits under one or more vehicle service contracts. with an administrator that provides coverage for various vehicle maintenance and/or repair services. In addition, the Service enables the purchase of coverage for additional vehicles in a given household and for users to share Service-related information with other drivers in that household as well as to communicate with their administrator regarding claim administration.
While setting up an account and as part of using the Service, we may request that you provide us with personally identifiable information or other nonpublic information about you. The types of self-reported personal information may include, first and last name; city; state; address; zip code; work phone; home phone; email address, vehicle information and payment information (i.e. credit card information). We may collect location data from your mobile device such as GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude/longitude) in order to enable certain features and functionality of the Service. You may opt-out of the collection of your location data by adjusting your settings in your mobile device to limit the Service’s access to your location data. We may also collect information when you use the Service to message with or share information with your administrator’s customer support team, vehicle service providers, or with other drivers in your household who use the Service.
In addition, we may collect aggregate, anonymous, statistical data, such as usage, traffic patterns and user demographics based on your self-reported data. Further, while using our Service we may also collect information as detailed in the Cookies, IP Addresses and Log Files paragraphs above.
We may share information that you voluntarily give us with the administrator that provides the vehicle service contract you purchase and/or manage through our Service. Such information is only used in the context of your business relationship with the administrator such as to find and/or generate a vehicle service contract to meet the coverage options you have selected through our Service. The administrator is only allowed to use this information in providing and, if applicable, administering the terms and conditions for your specific vehicle service contract. We may also share some of your personal information, such as name and location data, with other drivers in your household who use the Service.
We may engage third parties to assist us in marketing Uproar services on third-party websites as detailed above. We do not share or sell your personal information collected in our Service, such as name, email address, or other personal information with these third parties. These third parties may collect IP address and related usage data; however, we do not permit them to collect your name, contact information or other personally identifiable information through our Service.
In addition, Uproar may engage third-party vendor in connection with our Service, such as credit card processors, calendar scheduling providers, or email delivery services. In such instances, we may share limited personal information that is necessary for such party to provide its services. These companies are only permitted to use this information on our behalf.
In the event of a transfer of ownership of Uproar, such as acquisition by or merger with another company, or in the case of bankruptcy, a user’s information (as well as any other information we collect via our Site or the Service) may be transferred to the acquiring company.
